Blood stained grounds to the South, lain on the altar blade and bone Blood drenched grounds to the East, the flaming breath of Charchurel fills the air Blood soaked grounds to the West, Gods of the Desert set forth war All consuming ravenous hunger, Holy Death devours life before me Sickle and scythe cut down and mow down, the splintering of flesh and bone rampant Scorched Earth ruinizationed lands annihilation Flying arrows from the dunes cut and pierce through the sandy skies Apep's wrath upon me Dimensionless pits open up, the sand, the sky, and the spirit falls Distant sun turns dull, taking it's last convulsing breath The arid ground grows cold, vultures feast upon the bodies The stench of life disappears, melts away and dissolves into nothing Plummeting through the bottomless abyss, cascading through the void of Set Contorted stone faces breathe flame, primordial tongues echoing from their savage howls Blistering hot winds swirl and rupture from below, thunderous roars piece my ears Lacerate my flesh, thy inner walls forever collapsing Colossal Serpent of the Deep opens it's jaws of a thousand teeth Creation melts away and dissolves into nothing Through the gates beyond the Realm of Dreams, now illuminated is the blazing Path of Thorns Step by step, I slice and hack away the suffocating sublunary vines From the forest I emerge upon the shores of Tiamat's boundless and endless eternal oceans Setting sail, embarking on the odyssey, never to return to existence

It Looms 12:07
Ever since I can remember it's been following With it's hand on the doorway and it's harrowing Every move it's there, whispers in the hallway Shadows tear my skin back, flayed before me! While I'm sitting in the chair, I can feel it's stare From the corner of the room, silence in the air Candles blown out, the only light is from the moon Shadows dig their claws inside my brain, it plagues me! Running through the fields of corn, to the forest floor It always finds me, it always will forevermore My screams of horror echo through the wooded mist It hears my deranged caterwauling beyond sanity With it's hand on my shoulder, burning agony Never leave my side, never ever leave me be Just a set of solitary footprints in the snow Yet it's always there, none of you will ever know Gouge my eyes out, vanquish my lucidity It hears my wretched pleas It stares with apathy I feel it's sinking teeth Traversing.....widdershins.....solivagant.....wandering under the endless moon

about

"The blackened death metal Baxter puts forth here is out of this world compared to many others on the scene today. With three tracks clocking in around 26 minutes, you may tap the repeat button repeatedly."
- Metal-Rules

"The album will challenge your conventions, and stimulate your mind and thought process."
- Metal Temple

"A dazzling feat of stylistic engineering sits alongside an iron clad compositional discipline. One of the very few releases to come out in the last five years or so that demands of us a new vocabulary in order to even furnish it with curation."
- Hate Meditations

"Sarpa‘s new EP will leave most listeners bewildered and bedazzled, addled yet addicted. In the shell of an even smaller nut, these death rhythms are a hell of a lot of surprising fun."
- No Clean Singing

"Blackened death metal of epic proportions."
- World of Metal

“Mauta Tala may only be three cuts but stretches out to twenty five minutes. By no means an afterthought or a stop gap of any kind, and is instead something that approaches the Avant-Garde without fear of violent retribution."
- Metal-Noise

"Aggressiveness, complexity and a soothing mystical calmness. With Mauta Tala, the band develops a surprising and soaring atmosphere."
- Acta Infernalis
